About Marie

I’m a Washington native currently living in Anchorage, Alaska with my husband and our two dogs, Rupal and Nuptse.  I’m passionate about photography and all things outdoors.  As I explained in my first post, my initial inspiration for starting The Traveled Trail was to document the trials and triumphs of my hike on the Washington section of the Pacific Crest Trail.  More broadly than that, however, my hope is that through this blog, I can share my passion for nature, my desire to explore, and my appreciation for the boundless beauty of the world using photography and the power of the written word.
